Go backstage on broadway to discover the intricate workings of the most famous theatre district in the world. Backstage on Broadway’s theatre education programs are structured to expose students to the excitement and hard work behind the scenes of the theatrical world. The selection of seminars, sightseeing, and performances are designed to give your students a revealing glimpse into the entertainment industry.
Each Field Studies Center educational travel program is carefully planned to meet the instructor's objectives, and the school's requirements for course credit, where necessary.
6 Day/5 Night Sample Itinerary
Inclusions:
- Orientation Session- Spend time getting familiar with New York City. Review the best options for transportation and inexpensive places to eat. We'll also review the itinerary and answer questions.
- Tour Guide- A Field Studies guide will accompany you for all included daytime activities.
- Theatre Seminar or Workshop- Work with leading Broadway or Off Broadway professionals who may include actors, technicians, set designers, or critics.
- Site Tours (two)- Choose to visit one of New York City's historic or popular landmarks with a guide who can provide insight into the location's attraction and history.
- Meet the Cast- Enjoy a short visit with one of the leading cast members or technicians from the Broadway show you attend. You'll discuss the logistics of running a major Broadway show. This option is
subject to availability.
- Attendance at Four Performances- Take your seat at one Broadway musical, two Broadway comedies or dramas, and one Off Broadway performance.
- Hotel Accommodations- Stay five nights in an outstanding hotel in the Theatre District. Baggage handling upon hotel arrival and departure is included.
