45 years of experience

In 1969, Field Studies Center was founded to enrich students' lives through class trips to

New York City. From fashion and sports marketing to backstage on Broadway, Field Studies Center provides a wide variety of career-focused learning opportunities for all types of students and groups. In 2008, Field Studies Center joined WorldStrides, the largest educational student travel organization in the nation. Program participants immediately benefited from decades of travel coordination experience, the most comprehensive insurance package, and the best safety record in the field. Today, WorldStrides’ unique accreditation status gives students access to free high school credit while educators receive free professional development and the opportunity to earn low-cost graduate credit.

In addition to career-focused programs in New York, WorldStrides offers a range of educational travel programs focusing on history, science, music, dance, cheer, and global curriculum at the university level. Collectively, these are known as the WorldStrides DiscoverNow! programs.

On their Field Studies Center of New York program, they not only engage in a once-in-a-lifetime cultural experience, but also learn from experts who share firsthand knowledge as leaders in their career fields.

Our staff members love New York, live in the city, and have a passion its sites and culture. Decades-old relationships and partnerships with vendors, companies, and organizations enable us to offer groups an unparalleled experience getting to know the city behind the sites, learning from top industry professionals, and accessing their greatest potential.
