What Makes A
Field
Studies Center International Experience
The Best?
The efforts of a caring staff in New York's
original extension study center. In 1969 Lloyd Meeker created The
Field Studies International of New York and
Backstage on Broadway. He was
the first to offer an extension study trip which integrates with an
instructor's curriculum. He was the first to design a program to
enrich a course of study. Today over 300,000 high school and college
students and over 6,000 teachers are saying "nobody does it better."
And nobody knows better than the FSC professional
what New York City is, what it has to offer - backstage on Broadway,
inside the
fashion industry, within the worlds
of
music, dance, broadcasting - and
much, much, more! When you call FSC New York, you'll talk directly
with uniquely
qualified people - former teachers, school administrators and
working professionals in your field. They understand your need to
expand the classroom - they know how to custom-design a program full
of behind - the - scenes involvement and hands - on participation.
Student travelers can enjoy all the wonders of New
York City:
Broadway shows, Statue of Liberty,
Empire State Building, renowned skyscrapers, cultural institutions
and famous museums.
Students traveling to our
Nation's Capital will experience
its rich history and character. Visit the Smithsonian Institution,
Kennedy Center, White House or any of the institutions, monuments
and museums that
Washington DC is known for.
Travel abroad to
London, England and experience the
culture, beauty and grandeur of Great Britain. Sightseeing guides
will take you on a famous double-decker bus tour including:
Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, the changing of the guards
and the Theatre Museum at Covent Garden.
